Installation
BikeAlive is intended to be mounted to bicycle models with saddle posts which are between 25 and 33 mm diameter. A longer strap is available for larger diameters.
Remember to check that the mounting height will not be lower than 70 cm. This is to prevent BikeAlive entering the spokes of an adjacent bike and to be seen easily by approaching motorists.
Mounting Instructions:
- Open the Quick-release clamp and release the strap hook. Fit BikeAlive to the saddle post and reattach the hook. For larger diameters it may be necessary to move the back of the strap to the next holes. Note the nuts are Nylok and need to be held by a spanner or pliers to adjust the screws.

- Close the clamp and test the grip tension. Adjust the outer nuts on the U-piece until a satisfactory grip is obtained.
Tighten the inner nuts firmly but not overtighten.

- Check that the wand rotates smoothly and the rotation clip operates correctly at the horizontal position.
Press the button under the LEDs to lower the wand to downward position.

- Replacing the battery
When inserting a new battery, make sure the ribbon comes out on the same side as the LEDs, and ensure it goes around the back of the battery. Insert the battery with the connection wires running down the narrow edge of the battery and bunched at the rear of the compartment. Fold the end of the ribbon across the end of the battery. Replace the covers.
